I absolutely loved this book! It was hilarious and poignant and completely correct. While there are a few things Luvvie and I disagree on very slightly (very) but hearing her point of view is still hilarious. I absolutely am so proud of what she has accomplished and how humble she is about her success. This book is well-written and most of all 100% factual. It transcends across genders and race, too--while the book is written from the perspective of Luvvie, a Nigerian-American woman, it was still hilarious to me, a white girl. I found it enlightening about POC issues and in general it was just very smart while not being too preachy, and always hilarious. It helped me see things from the perspective of someone of a different race and culture, and opened my eyes in regard to race issues, and Africa and how its portrayed in the media, and I'm so grateful for that.

I like just for me products, but I feel that this did not do much for my hair. I will stick to the regular detangler from now on. Plus the shape is not ideal, my hand starts to slide and cramp after a while.

If you are ever doing any type of cleanse or detox, you are probably going to feel some side effects ie nausea and headaches. You're body is releasing stored toxins, that will need to travel around in your body to find its way out. Thus, the side effects mean that the cleanse or detox is working.
